GENERAL INFORMATION
Congress participants are cordially invited to submit abstracts of their scientific works for presentation at the International Giardia and Cryptosporidium Conference
The preferred format (oral or poster) can be indicated, but acceptance of the abstract and mode of presentation will be decided by the Scientific Committee.
Only abstracts from registered participants will be taken into account.
Only 2 abstract per presenting author will be accepted.
DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION: June, 29, 2009
Authors will be notified about the acceptance/rejection of their abstracts, and mode of presentation (oral/poster) before July, 15, 2009.
Abstracts should be prepared following the instructions given below.
INSTRUCTIONS
Please read carefully the information below.
Abstracts must be prepared offline in advance since you will be asked to upload a complete file at step 2 of the online abstract submission procedure.
Word version: MS Word 97-2003 for Windows (.doc)
Title: Arial 10, bold characters
Authors and affiliation: Arial 9 (use letters a, b, c ect, for more than one affiliation)
Text Arial 10
Format: Single-spaced and fully justified
One hard return must be left between Title and Authors, and another between authors and text. Each abstract must contain no more than 250 words (including Title, Authors and affiliation, and Text).

1. PERSONAL DETAILS
Enter the data of the first Author.
Please check carefully the entered data. Be sure to indicate a correct e-mail address since all the information about your scientific work will be sent to that address.
2. ABSTRACT TOPICS
You may indicate the topic closest to the subject of your work. The list of topics is the following:
- Taxonomy and epidemiology
- Waterborne and Foodborne Cryptosporidiosis and Giardiasis
- Immunology
- Pathogenesis and Host-parasite Relationships
- Treatment and Control
- Cell Biology
- Genomics and Proteomics
- Clinical Aspects in Human and Animals
3. ABSTRACT TITLE
Enter the full title of your abstract exactly as it appears in your abstract.
4. AUTHORS
All authors, including the first Author/Presenter, must be entered in the appropriate box as in the following example:
Smith C., London, United Kingdom, smith.c@example.com;
(use letters a, b, c ect, for more than one affiliation)
STEP 2
Verify the data entered. If it is necessary to modify or correct your data, click on the “Edit” field corresponding to the data to be changed. Modify your data and click on “Change” to confirm. If everything is ok you can proceed to upload your abstract.
PIN
After completing the process you will receive a PIN code which will allow you to verify on-line the status of your abstract (accepted or rejected). An e-mail including all the data and the PIN code will be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address indicated on the form.

Please remember that if your abstract has been accepted at least one of the authors must be registered to the congress.
